             The colossal disaster that has transpired in the financial and housing sectors has reached its pinnacle. America is at a crossroads where accountability is no longer aligned with responsibility. With recent bailouts for AIG, Fannie & Freddie, Bear Sterns, “The Stimulus” etc, American government is now the largest mortgage and financial institution in the world and seems to only grow with crisis after crisis. This must stop!

            We reject the idea that a solution cannot be obtained without throwing taxpayer dollars at the problem. America is heading down a path, teaching this generation “What is in it for me” and our government is reinforcing this philosophy. With future bailouts for re-tooling Detroit, a possible second stimulus, and an agriculture and energy crisis on the horizon, we need to demonstrate leadership and avoid the corporate fat barrel that has plagued our institutions and brought us into this predicament. Our future taxpayers, our children’s children, cannot be forced to pay for the greedy, irresponsible and misguided decisions we are making today!

            It is time for accountability, and show the world America will rise again. Not by government handouts, but by the will of the people. We ask you to vote against this bailout and lead others in the Congress to do the same.
